Hello, and a very warm welcome.
Whether you're planning a wedding, saying goodbye to someone you love, celebrating a new life, or marking a turning point, I’m here to help you honour life’s meaningful moments in a way that feels personal, authentic, and truly yours.
As a humanist celebrant, I create non-religious ceremonies rooted in your story, your values, and your unique connections. There’s no script to follow, no generic words, just beautifully crafted ceremonies that reflect exactly who you are and what matters most to you.
Since I’ll be learning a lot about you, let me share a little about myself.
I grew up in South London, the youngest of three, and trained as a nurse at 18. After having two small children, I returned to university to study social policy and later completed a Master’s in Social Work. I spent the next 18 years supporting children and families through challenging times, work that deeply shaped my understanding of compassion, resilience, and the power of listening.
In 2012, I met my husband Mark, and we married five years later. We now live in rural Cambridgeshire, close to the Suffolk and Essex borders, with two lively dogs and a garden full of vegetables and chickens. I’m a keen photographer, love to cook, and can often be found swimming.
Life has brought its share of joy and grief. In 2020, when my dad died during the pandemic, we chose a humanist funeral for him. It was personal, heartfelt, and entirely fitting for a man who had lived 85 secular years. The ceremony left a lasting impression on me. When my mum died unexpectedly three years later, we had another humanist funeral, this time, the idea of becoming a celebrant took root in my heart.
Those experiences made me rethink what I wanted from life. I knew I was ready to support others in a new way, more gently, more creatively, and with greater meaning. With my husband’s encouragement and support, I trained with Humanists UK in 2024 to become a celebrant for weddings, funerals, and naming ceremonies.
This work brings together everything I care about: empathy, storytelling, and human connection. I feel incredibly privileged to stand beside people as they mark life’s biggest transitions, whether in grief, joy, or celebration and to shape ceremonies that truly reflect who they are.
I pride myself on being a calm, thoughtful presence, with a deep respect for your stories and wishes. Whether you're honouring a loved one, welcoming a child, or standing beside your partner to say “I do,” I’ll work closely with you to create a ceremony that feels right, authentic, moving, joyful, or quietly powerful, depending on what you need.
So, if you’re looking for a celebrant who will listen with care, guide you gently, and craft something genuinely bespoke, I’d love to talk.
